Best Pokémon TCG Products Under €100: Every Budget from €20 to €100 (2026)

By CardTrezor Team·October 18, 2026·8 min read min read
Five budgets, one question: what is your collection worth today? CardTrezor answers it live from Cardmarket.Price Every Purchase

You don't need deep pockets to build a meaningful Pokémon TCG collection. We've analyzed Cardmarket pricing data across the current product lineup and found that the €20–€100 range is one of the most interesting segments in the market right now.

October is a particularly good window. Summer demand has cooled, holiday pre-orders have opened without the wider holiday buying rush hitting yet, and retailers are often moving older stock at reduced prices. Whether you're a collector picking up chase singles, an investor eyeing sealed appreciation, or a parent shopping for a kid who just discovered Pokémon, there's something at every price point that's genuinely worth the money.

The tiers below separate what's worth buying from what to skip.

€20–€30: Smart Entry Points

This budget tier is perfect for casual openings, gift purchases, or dipping your toes in without committing serious cash.

Build & Battle Boxes (~€23)

The Build & Battle Box is the best all-in product in the current lineup. For around €23, you get 4 booster packs plus a 40-card ready-to-play kit with a promo card. That works out to roughly €5.80 a pack, so what you are really paying for is the 40-card kit and the promo card. The Chaos Rising Build & Battle Box retails at €23.24, and the Pitch Black version comes in at €26.

3-Pack Blisters (~€14–€16)

These retail-friendly packs bundle 3 boosters with a promo card. At €14–€16, they're an affordable impulse buy and the promo cards are often exclusive to this format. Good for filling gaps in recent sets or adding to a sealed collection on a tight budget.

Chase Singles from Recent Sets

If you want specific cards rather than packs, the singles market is your best friend at this tier. After a set releases, chase card prices typically shed 20–30% of their launch premium within 4–6 weeks as supply floods in. A Chaos Rising Mega Greninja ex that peaked near €279 on pre-release estimates settled between €205 and €251 within six weeks, per our six-weeks-later market analysis. Top chases from hot sets hold their premiums longer than most buyers expect. Lower-demand illustration rares from the same set regularly trade for €8–€25, and that's where this tier actually delivers. Cardmarket is the best place to find these in the EU.

What to look for: Cards with strong artwork, meta-relevant attacks, or long-term nostalgic appeal. Avoid paying premiums for cards that are still in active print.

What to avoid: Repackaged "mystery packs" from unverified sellers. These often contain bulk commons worth pennies and are marketed with misleading photos of chase cards.

€30–€50: The Sweet Spot

This is where the real value starts appearing. At €30–€50, you can get sealed products with genuine appreciation potential or graded cards that hold steady value.

Booster Bundles (~€25–€28)

The booster bundle packs 6 boosters into a compact display. The Chaos Rising Booster Bundle retails at €25.10 and Pitch Black at €28. That's a solid middle ground between a blister and a full booster box, with enough packs for a meaningful opening without the €130+ commitment.

Elite Trainer Boxes on Sale (~€40–€46)

ETBs retail at €46.49 for standard versions and €52 for Pitch Black, but watch for discounts. Major retailers and Amazon often mark down older ETBs by 15–25% once a newer set launches. An ETB at €35–€40 is a strong buy: you get 9 packs, sleeves, dice, dividers, and a promo card. The real draw for investors is the sealed box itself. ETBs from popular sets like Chaos Rising and Pitch Black have historically appreciated 10–15% annually once they go out of print.

Graded Cards: PSA 9 Modern (~€30–€50)

A PSA 9 graded card from a recent set often costs just €30–€50 for all but the top chase cards. These are excellent entry-level graded investments: they're authentic, condition-verified, and easy to resell. The PSA certification adds a floor to the price that raw cards don't have.

Our pick: We rate PSA 9 illustration rares from Chaos Rising or Pitch Black at €25–€45 as the best entry point in this guide. The artwork in these sets is exceptional, and PSA 9 copies should hold their value well as sealed supply dwindles.

€50–€75: Building Real Value

At this tier, you're making decisions that matter to your portfolio. These products have meaningful appreciation potential.

Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Boxes (~€65–€73)

The Pokemon Center ETB is the collector's version: 11 packs instead of 9, plus an exclusive stamped promo card. The Chaos Rising PC ETB retails at €65.09 and Pitch Black at €73. They sell exclusively through Pokemon Center, which ships only to the US, the UK and Canada, and they command a 30–70% premium on the secondary market within months. If you are in one of those markets, buy at retail: it is the strongest risk/reward product under €100 right now.

Sealed Booster Boxes at Discount (~€60–€80)

A booster box at full MSRP (€133.59 for Chaos Rising, €150 for Pitch Black) doesn't fit this budget. But older sets occasionally show up discounted as retailers clear inventory. Check Cardmarket and eBay for sealed booster boxes from sets that are 6–12 months past release. A booster box at €60–€80 is an exceptional long-term hold.

Mid-Tier Chase Cards (~€50–€75)

This price range captures second-tier chase cards from current sets: the Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares that aren't the absolute top pulls but are still highly desirable. These often represent the best risk-adjusted returns because they have strong collector demand without the extreme volatility of the #1 chase card.

€75–€100: Premium Plays

This is the top of the under-€100 range, and it opens up some serious options.

Sealed Booster Boxes at or Under MSRP

Both Chaos Rising (MSRP ~€133.59) and Pitch Black (MSRP ~€150) are above this budget at retail. But secondary market dips happen. If a set underperforms expectations or the market cools temporarily, booster boxes can dip to €100–€120. October is a realistic window for this: summer spending is over, holiday pre-orders haven't created FOMO yet, and some holders need cash. Set price alerts on Cardmarket and be patient.

Premium Graded Cards (~€75–€100)

A PSA 10 of a mid-tier modern card, or a PSA 9 of a strong chase card, lands squarely in this range. These are the pieces that anchor a collection: authenticated, graded, and easy to value. An Amazon display case adds protection and presentation for your graded slabs.

What About Chaos Rising and Pitch Black Sealed Products?

Prices as of 16 October 2026. Both sets are fully released (22 May 2026 for Chaos Rising, 17 July 2026 for Pitch Black). Singles were re-checked on 16 October 2026: the priciest Mega Darkrai ex trades at €187 on a 7-day average, down from €201 across 30 days, and the wider set is drifting slightly lower. Sealed-product bands move far more slowly than singles, so those figures are our tracked ranges rather than same-day quotes. One row below is marked as a launch-window reference: that is what booster boxes traded at in Pitch Black's first weeks, not what they fetch today.

Product MSRP Market Price Under €100?
Chaos Rising Booster Box €133.59 €120–€145 Occasionally
Pitch Black Booster Box €150.00 €185–€240 (launch window, Jul) No
Chaos Rising ETB €46.49 €38–€52 Yes
Pitch Black ETB €52.00 €48–€58 Usually
PC ETB (Chaos Rising) €65.09 €85–€115 Sometimes
PC ETB (Pitch Black) €73.00 €95–€130 At retail only

Chaos Rising is your best bet for sealed boxes near €100. Pitch Black opened well above MSRP on Mega Darkrai ex demand alone: our Pitch Black guide projected €185–€240 for boxes in the first weeks, and pre-orders traded as high as €240. Three months on, the singles have given back their launch highs. Prices typically normalize 3–6 months post-release, so we'd wait rather than pay the launch premium.

What to Look For (and What to Avoid)

Signs of a Good Purchase

  • Sealed product from a popular set: supply only goes down over time
  • PSA/CGC/BGS graded cards: authenticated condition adds a price floor
  • Cards with strong artwork: illustration rares from the Mega Evolution era are holding value well
  • Discounted ETBs: 15–20% below retail is the sweet spot for long-term holds

Red Flags to Avoid

  • Overpriced retail: never pay above MSRP for products still in active print
  • Repackaged mystery packs: the odds are stacked in the seller's favor, and these are designed to take your money
  • Unverified sellers: stick to Cardmarket seller ratings, eBay buyer protection, or established local game stores
  • FOMO purchases: buying after a price spike means paying near the peak
  • Cards at launch prices: wait 4–6 weeks after a set release for prices to stabilize

Where to Buy in October 2026

Platform Best For Notes
Cardmarket Singles, sealed, price comparison EU's largest TCG marketplace. Check it first
eBay Sealed boxes, auction deals Buyer protection is essential; check seller history
Amazon Sealed products, accessories Good for MSRP or discounted items; watch for third-party sellers
Local game stores Pre-release events, sealed product Build relationships. They often hold product for regulars
Pokemon Center PC-exclusive ETBs Ships only to the US, UK and Canada. Everywhere else, budget a 30–70% premium

October buying tip: retailers are clearing summer inventory before holiday stock arrives. This is historically one of the best months to find deals on older sealed products and discounted singles.
